Privacy

Salanguit is a small, free language-learning site. We collect as little as possible and never sell or share your data.

What we store

Your username, display name, email (for password resets), a securely hashed password, and your learning progress: XP, streaks, words you're studying, game scores, achievements and items. If you chat with the AI tutor we store the conversation so the tutor can remember context – you can clear it any time.

AI features

The AI tutor, daily stories and explanations are powered by xAI's Grok. The text you send to those features is sent to xAI to generate an answer. Don't share sensitive personal information in the chat.

Cookies and statistics

We only use a session cookie to keep you signed in. Visitor statistics use a daily-rotating anonymous hash – no raw IP addresses, no tracking cookies, no ads, no third-party analytics.

Public information

Your display name, avatar, level, streak and achievements appear on leaderboards, the community page and your profile.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can download all your data or delete your account permanently under Settings. Questions? Email [email protected].
